EV Charging Stations

The Borough of Swissvale has been workingEV Charging Station with Green Edge Tech for a little over a year now, after finding alignment goals in Climate Action,  Social Equity, and Community Engagement. This partnership has provided a pathway to bring public Electric Vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure to the Borough.

A Level 2 public charging station that can accommodate 5 vehicles will be constructed on Aurelius Street by mid-September. This station will be easily accessible (within a 5 min walking distance) to 14.36% of the Swissvale Borough residents (roughly 1,250 residents), the Library, Dickson STEAM Academy, multiple dining locations and approximately 616 housing units. 

The Aurelius St. location is just the first step in Swissvale’s initiative to make public EV charging stations available throughout the borough. Future location requests can be submitted at:  https://bit.ly/GETLocations
