This is an exciting time for the Swissvale Community! July 30, 2023 marked the Quasquicentennial (125th Anniversary) of the Borough’s incorporation. In celebration, the Quasquicentennial Celebration Committee is hosting activities throughout the the year.

The Quasquicentennial Celebration Committee is busy planning activities such as a Bicycle Derby, 3V3 basketball tournament, historic homes neighborhood tours, scavenger hunts and more! Check out the Events Page for the ever evolving list of activities!

Place an advertisement or Swissvale Stories Page in our professionally printed
125th Anniversary, full color, 8.5” x 11”, gloss cover Souvenir Memory Book. The book will share the stories of current and past residents and the developments that the Borough has made over the years, focusing on the last 25 years. Example Swissvale Story Pages from the Swissvale Centennial Yearbook are included to the right. A copy of the Souvenir Book will be placed in a time capsule to be included in the construction of the new borough building.
The Souvenir Book is scheduled to be published near the end of 2023. Quasquicentennial Sponsors, Advertisers and those who purchase a Swissvale Stories Page will receive a copy of the Souvenir Book at no extra charge. The book will also be available for pre-order for $20 at the Swissvale Borough Office (7600 Evans Street) during normal business hours.
